Job Description

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join their team in Arizona. This position begins as a three-month temporary assignment with a high possibility of becoming permanent. The client is looking for a dedicated individual who can manage the entire accounts payable process and take ownership of their role.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona (downtown - free parking); Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days from home

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve invoice-related issues.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
  • Provide support for audits by ensuring all documentation is complete and accessible.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounts payable process.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle discrepancies effectively.

Work Hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
